While creating beautiful makeup is my passion, your health and safety are the absolute foundation of my business. Nothing is more important than makeup sanitation. When you invite me to be part of your special day, you are placing a huge amount of trust in me and my tools, and that’s a responsibility I take very seriously.
I want you to feel completely confident and relaxed in my chair. That’s why I believe in total transparency about my sanitation standards. This isn’t just a behind-the-scenes detail; it’s my personal makeup sanitation promise to every single client.
Pillar 1: Meticulous Kit & Product Hygiene
A pristine kit is the hallmark of a professional artist. Here’s a look at the rigorous standards I apply to every product, every time.

The Golden Rule: No Double-Dipping. Ever.
This is the cardinal rule of makeup artistry. Once a tool has touched a client’s skin, it never goes back into a product container.
- Creams & Liquids (Foundation, Lipstick, Gels): All cream or liquid products are decanted onto a sanitized stainless steel palette using a clean, disinfected metal spatula. I then work from the palette, ensuring the original product remains 100% untouched and sterile.
- Powders (Eyeshadows, Blushes, Bronzers): To keep powders sanitary, I lightly spray the surface with 70% isopropyl alcohol before use, which disinfects without damaging the product.
- Pencils (Lip & Eye Liners): Every pencil is sharpened immediately before use on a client. This creates a fresh, clean surface and removes any old product. My sharpener is also cleaned and disinfected with alcohol after each use.
Single-Use Disposables are Non-Negotiable
For products that can’t be sanitized, I rely on single-use, disposable applicators. This is the only way to guarantee zero cross-contamination. This includes:
- Mascara Wands (Spoolies)
- Lip Gloss Applicators
- Sponges and Powder Puffs
A Deeper Look at Brush & Tool Cleaning
My cleaning process is thorough and uncompromising.
- Deep Cleaning: After every event, all of my brushes undergo a deep cleaning with professional-grade brush soap to remove all product. They are then disinfected, reshaped, and laid flat to air dry completely. A clean, fresh set of brushes is used for every new client.
- Tool Disinfection: All of my hard, non-porous tools—like tweezers, spatulas, and lash curlers—are fully submerged in Barbicide, a hospital-grade, EPA-approved disinfectant, for the required contact time to ensure they are completely sterile.
Pillar 2: Artist & Workspace Sanitation
My commitment to hygiene extends beyond just my kit.
Personal Hygiene
I begin every appointment by thoroughly washing my hands with soap and water and use hand sanitizer consistently throughout the makeup application. I will never work while feeling unwell, and I always arrive in clean attire.
A Sanitized Workspace
Before I even set up my kit, I wipe down my station, the client chair, and all surfaces with an EPA-approved disinfectant. Your personal space is clean and prepared just for you.
Pillar 3: Your Personalized, Safe Experience
Your session is all about you, and that includes your well-being.
One-on-One Focus
When you are in my chair, my focus is entirely on you. The tools and products laid out are for your use only.
Open Communication
Please let me know if you have any allergies, sensitivities, or specific skin conditions like rosacea or active breakouts. This information is confidential and allows me to select the best products for your skin and take any extra precautions needed to ensure your comfort and safety.
A Commitment You Can Trust
This rigorous sanitation routine isn’t just a checklist; it’s an integral part of the professional, luxury service you deserve. When you book with me, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy being pampered, knowing you are in safe, clean, and expert hands.
Your comfort is everything. If you have any questions at all about my sanitation practices, please don’t hesitate to ask. I’m always happy to discuss them further!
